You decide if it feels right that I'm the celebrant for you.
Confirm a date.
On the day you will need two witnesses.
Couples getting married on the day need to bring with them photo ID a driver's licence or a passport.
Your job is to apply for the personalised ceremony marriage licence to BDM within 3 months of the event.
Your marriage licence will be sent to you and you forward it to me for printing.
Final payment can be made via Internet banking, the is no EFT POS on site.

Compose a service using the information and guidance from the couple.
Prepare and conduct the service to meet your expectations.
Ensure my appearance is in keeping with the occasion.
Arrive 10 minutes before the beginning of the service and check everything is ready for you.
Maintain a high standard of professional conduct and practice.
Act ethically at all times.
After the ceremony, I will check everything has been filled out correctly and mailed to BDM.
You will be left with a copy of the marriage licence to be entrusted to a "responsible adult".

Obtain a marriage licence through the department of internal affairs prior to the wedding. This is valid for 3 months.
Engage an officially appointed celebrant (that is were I come in).
Turn up on time, on the right day and at the right place!

Romantic private - Garden Weddings

Under the Totara tree in the bush. A beautiful old Totara tree.
This is an indigenous tree of Aotearoa - NZ. Totara tree is on the protected list, they grow 50 – 80 cm every 2 years, and it is a highly regarded tree by the Maori.
The roots of the Totara mark out a whakapapa ( line of descent ) and is a genealogical reference point that ties us to Papatuanuku, the Earth Mother.
The Totara tie us to nature and our roots, and our whakapapa ( family ) which lead us to forge identities and bonds within our whanau (family), hapu ( subtribe), and iwi(tribe) and that place called home.
